1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Maker Generations website at www.makergenerations.com (the “Platform”), operated by Maker Generations, a UK based business operating in Northern Ireland.

By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to these Terms in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

2. Account Terms

To access certain features, including submitting recipes, saving favourites, or making purchases, you may be asked to create an account.

By doing so, you agree to:

• provide accurate and up to date information
• keep your login details secure
• take responsibility for activity under your account
• contact us at hello@makergenerations.com if you believe your account has been used without permission

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

3. Recipe Submissions and Content

Maker Generations allows you to share recipes, stories, images, and other content (“User Content”).

By submitting content, you agree that:

• you retain ownership of everything you submit
• you give Maker Generations permission to publish, display, and share your content across the website and related materials
• this permission is non-exclusive, worldwide, and royalty-free

Editing and Use

We may make light edits to improve clarity, formatting, or readability, but we will not change the meaning or intent of your content.

Your responsibility

You confirm that:

• the content is your own or you have permission to share it
• it does not infringe anyone else’s rights
• it does not include harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material

Removal

You can request removal of your content at any time by contacting us. We will remove it within a reasonable timeframe, although copies may remain temporarily in backups.

We may also remove content that breaches these Terms or does not align with the purpose of the Platform.

4. Shop and Payments

Pricing and Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payments are handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Shipping

We currently ship within the United Kingdom. Delivery times are estimates and may vary.

Returns and Refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, provided items are unused and in their original condition.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving returned items.

Perishable or personalised items cannot be returned unless faulty.

Order issues

If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days and we will resolve it.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• use it for unlawful or harmful purposes
• submit content that is abusive, offensive, or misleading
• impersonate another person
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts
• interfere with the operation or security of the website
• copy, scrape, or reuse content without permission

6. Intellectual Property

All website content, design, branding, and materials (excluding user submissions) belong to Maker Generations Ltd.

You may not use or reproduce any part of the site without permission.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.

This includes loss of data, income, or business.

Our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the previous 12 months, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

8. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided as it is.

We do not guarantee that all content, including recipes, will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

You follow any recipe or advice at your own discretion.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the website.

Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
